Hi! I’m Nancy.
I was an elementary school teacher for thirty-three years and retired in 2021. I’ve always enjoyed helping students edit their work. Since I retired, I have been editing adult manuscripts—mostly for Self Publishing School (SPS) students.
My sister, Amy, is also in the SPS Rolodex. When she is too busy to take on a new editing client, she refers them to me. Some have gotten in touch, and after a sample edit or a phone conversation, they have chosen me as their editor.
I have completed developmental/content and copy editing plus proofreading for several books during this time, as well as my first editing job for my sister in 2016.
In my editing, I generally use CMOS (Chicago Manual of Style) as my style guide, but I can use any other style guide a client might want. I prefer to use MS Word with track changes for editing, or I can edit in Google Docs.
I look forward to helping you polish your writing and get your words out into the world of published books!
